What is sustainability issue?
Water Pollution. The main problem caused by water pollution is that it kills organisms that depend on these water bodies. Dead fish, crabs, birds, and sea gulls, dolphins, and many more animals often wind up on beaches, killed by pollution's in their habits (living environment). Pollution also disrupts the food chain as well. 

What causes the issue?
Water pollution can be caused in a number of ways, one of the most polluting being city sewage and industrial waste discharge. Indirect sources of water pollution include contaminants that enter the water supply from soils or groundwater systems and from the atmosphere via rain. Dairy farming is a massive problem because dairy farmers are polluting the water through the chemicals thy put in the ground like fertiliser and cow poop.      

What is being done to solve the issue?
Use water wisely. Also, you can reduce the amount of water you use in washing and bathing. If we all do this, we can significantly prevent water shortages and reduce the amount of dirty water that needs treatment. Do not throw chemicals, oils, paints and medicines down the sink drain, or the toilet. They are fencing off the cattle from water ways to prevent things like cow poop into going to the ground.

What else needs to be done to improve the issue?
You can prevent water pollution of nearby rivers and lakes as well as groundwater and drinking water by following some simple guidelines in your everyday life. Converse water by turning of the tap or sink when the water is not necessary. Also do not through litter into rivers lakes and oceans.
