Film Study

Body Language- A tool formed in fiction film and television series
Costumes- The clothes worn by the characters to create a particular effect
Hairstyles- Certain lights may make them look more sick or tired
Make-Up- Cosmetics or face paint used to create a particular effect
Colour- Used to make the film happy or sad
Lighting- The use of light and colour for a particular effect
Props- An accessory that character brings on stage with them
Settings- Can help the audience the meaning of the story
Dialogue- They describes events on-screen through words
Sound Effects- To tell us about the character in the story
Music- In a movie is to give the audience an emotional guide
Silence- Silence in which there is no dialogue for a prolonged period of time
Symbols- Words or images that have a special significance or meaning
Special FX- Objects used as part of the setting

In English today we are learning about the Film Study. We have been told to complete a task other Create your own ‘Language of Film’ Dictionary, Create a Kahoot Quiz to help others learn the definitions of the words in the list above, Using google slides, create a Pick-a-pathtask where to get to the end they need to know the correct definition of each word, or a Create a Crossword where the clues are the definitions for each of the terms above, and what I have picked what you probably already know is create your own language of film dictionary.

      Thank you. Yes I am going to edit this, I always publish even when I haven't finish because I always can get different comments on how I can improve on my learning. Anyways thanks for commenting on my blog and giving me some feed back.
